Know the day a tracked link breaks, not at the end of the quarter
Link Console’s link health monitor checks every saved destination once a day. It flags 404s, server errors, long redirect chains and redirects that strip the UTM parameters on the way to the page, which silently turns paid traffic into “direct” in GA4. When a link breaks, the team gets an email. The monitor is on Pro.
Plan: Pro. Every workspace starts with 2 months of Pro free.

What it does
- A daily check of every destination saved in the workspace
- Flags 404 pages and server errors
- Flags long redirect chains that slow pages down
- Flags redirects that drop the UTM parameters before the page loads
- Emails the team when a link breaks, with the link, the problem and who built it
- Works for links in ads, emails, posts, partner pages and printed QR codes alike
How it works
Save links as usual
Every link built or imported in Link Console is monitored automatically. Nothing extra to set up.
Daily check
Each destination is requested once a day and every redirect is followed to the final page.
Email when it breaks
The team is emailed with the broken link, what went wrong and where it is used.
Fix and confirm
Fix the page or redirect, or edit the destination. The next daily check confirms it.
Who it is for
Web and marketing operations
Site migrations and CMS changes break links and drop query strings. The monitor catches both.
Paid media teams
Stop paying for clicks that land on a 404 or arrive in GA4 without their UTMs.
Field and event marketing
Printed QR codes live for months. Know as soon as the page behind one stops working.
Why would a redirect strip UTMs?
Some redirects (for example after a site migration or a vanity URL rule) send the visitor to a new address without the original query string. The visit then shows up as direct or unattributed.
How often are links checked?
Once a day, for every saved destination in the workspace.
Who gets the email?
The workspace team. The email says which link broke, what the problem is and who built it.
Is it on the Free plan?
No, it is on Pro. Every workspace starts with 2 months of Pro free, so you can see it running on your own links.
