How much pipeline do I need to hit my revenue target?
Divide your new-business revenue target by your win rate on qualified opportunities. With a $10M target and a 20% win rate, you need $50M of qualified pipeline over the year.
What is pipeline coverage?
Pipeline coverage is the ratio of open qualified pipeline to the revenue target for a period. A team with a 25% win rate typically needs about 4x coverage to hit its number.
How much pipeline should marketing source?
It depends on your sales motion. Agree the share with sales leadership, then measure marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline separately in the CRM.
How do I close a pipeline gap?
Find where the funnel leaks first: target accounts not engaging, traffic not converting, or leads not followed up. Then shift budget toward the programs that produce qualified opportunities, not just leads.
